(1) A person who, before or during an election, prints or publishes, or
permits another person to print or publish, an election notice for the
election that does not state the name and address of the person who authorised
the notice commits an offence.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—3 penalty
units.
(2) In this section—
"address" means address other than a post office box.
"election notice" means a notice containing anything able to, or intended
to—
(a) influence an elector in relation to voting in an election; or
(b)
affect the result of an election.
"notice" includes a poster, handbill and pamphlet.
"publish" includes publish on the internet, even if the internet site on which
the publication is made is located outside Queensland.
