19 Elected member’s term of office
(1) An elected member mentioned in section 15 (2) (a) , (b) , (c) or (f) holds
office for 4 years.
(2) An elected member mentioned in section 15 (2) (d) or
(e) holds office for 2 years.
(3) An elected member’s term of office
starts— (a) if the member is re-elected—the day after the day when the
member’s previous term of office ends; or
(b) if paragraph (a) does not
apply—the day after the day when the term of office of the member’s
predecessor ends.
