Where, consequent on any proceedings in a Local Court:
(a) a person is committed for trial to the District Court,
(b) an appellant lodges under section 14 (1) or (3) of the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Act 2001 a notice of appeal or an application for leave to appeal, or
(c) the Director of Public Prosecutions lodges an appeal under section 23 (1) of that Act,the registrar of the Local Court shall as soon as practicable request preparation of a transcript of the proceedings.
